LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL ELECTIONS
in Colombia, there are two main elections, the presidential, senate and House of Representatives elections that are convened every 4 years. The other elections are the departmental elections that include governors, mayors and local leaders that are convened every 2 years.

The entity in charge for the elections is the Registraduria Nacional Del Estado that gathers the different postulants to for this political jobs and organizes the elections around the country and also organizes the elections for people that live abroad that take place in the different embassies that Colombia has around the world.
