Racial equality is the belief that everybody regardless his racial characteristic has the same abilities and should be treat as an equal.

Colombia´s ethnic groups are mestizos and whites (84.2%), Afro-Colombian (10.4%), Amerindian (3.4%), Rom (<.01) and unspecified (2.1%)

The Colombian government has always been promoting the racial equality and there has been many actions plans to achieve it such as “Plan of action for ethnical and racial equality”
